Niche Finder Review

In my quest to find the best keyword tool out there, I recently came across a tool called Niche Finder which is proposed as being the “Best Keyword & Niche Marketing Software”. That’s some pretty big shoes to fill so I was looking forward to reviewing this tool.

For reference here is what I would consider to be my “best keyword software” based on my needs as a niche marketer.

  1. I need to see a broad list of unique keywords based on my seed terms
  2. I need to see how hard its going to be for me to rank for those keywords in organic
  3. I need to see if there is an Adsense play there based on Adwords CPC and # of advertisers
  4. I need a quick way to find exact match domains
  5. I need to be able to do all of this quickly and make quick decisions on what to keep and what to eliminate from my lists

I am a niche marketer so my money comes easier if I choose a less competitive niche with a lot of long tail potential. I say this all the time, the wrong keywords can make or break your business overnight. Now I have had a lot of people try and sell me the “best keyword tool” but I have yet to find a tool which does everything I need in a way that makes my life easier and my work faster.

So let me give you my first impression of Niche Finder.

I bought it…I opened it…I scanned the first screen after the install and basically said.  Is that it?

Honestly, that’s exactly what I said. I figured I got scammed as I just spent money on a piece of software claiming to be the best and it was 1 simple screen. This is coming from Keyword Elite, Micro Niche Finder etc..which are monster tools compared to this.  See for yourself:

Putting these feelings aside I still pushed ahead to actually test this thing out so I did a simple keyword search:

The output got quite a bit more interesting.

So as a “lifelong” SEO I dive pretty deep into keywords while evaluating them. Generally I would take a term and manually check the top 10 listings for things like:

  • # of backlinks to the domain and page
  • On page usage including domain name
  • Domain age
  • Page rank
  • Allinanchor, allintitle position relative to ranking position
  • etc…

As you can assume this is all pretty time consuming but I do it because it works. So basically my best keyword tool would do this for me right?

I was pleasantly surprised when I started evaluating the results here.

I am getting all the info I need to decide about possible Adsense options, I am getting search volume as pulled from Google, I am getting domain availability, I am getting avg backlinks and more.

First I want to touch on the domain tool. This is the FIRST tool which allows me to see .com, .net and .org availability from a single screen across mass keyword lists like this. That’s pretty awesome and if you have ever tried finding domains in the past on this scale you know what I mean.

Then for each keyword you can find new and aged domains that contain the keyword automatically and almost INSTANTLY!

Next I want to talk about a feature I am ALWAYS skeptical of.

Now to call yourself the best keyword software you better deliver. Saying that, they have a difficulty indicator column here which is supposed to tell me about how hard its going to be for me to pull SEO traffic for a term.

So my normal process is listed above and I know how to find a good term using all those factors. What they have done in Niche Finder, is create an algo which takes all those factors, rank weighted them and created a “score” to determine a scale of easy, to medium to difficult for SEO rank.

So of course I didn’t buy it…I have been sold this before so I started checking myself. For a “green” term I would do the leg work to check and get a similar result. I did this repeatedly for yellow and red terms as well and every time my scoring would mimic what I was getting with Niche Finder.

NOW from a process standpoint this is truly what does make this the best keyword software I have now. Instead of evaluating these terms one by one like before, I can evaluate hundreds at a time!

There is NO other tool which has been able to do that AND give me data which is actionable.

Now I still recheck terms from time to time but the algo is holding strong and whoever developed the concept of the SEO difficulty score really knows their stuff as far as I am concerned.  I have to say I am really impressed with what they have been able to do with Niche Finder.

  • It’s compact
  • Simple
  • Fast
  • Efficient
  • And most importantly Effective

I don’t say this often and I try EVERY tool I can get my hands on but I have to say Niche Finder is the best keyword software I own and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick easy way to sift out easy to rank for keywords.
